Preferred investment projects:
petrochemical industry, agricultural and food industry, construction, tourism and recreation, environmental protection, light industry; the town offers also structures and land for development; investment in The Płock Industry and Technology Park, its initial profile is defined by the basic operation of PKN ORLEN. Added to this is the existing local study and research potential within the scope of the economical viability connected with the chemical industry and its interrelated domains, for example: environmental protection, waste treatment and recycling, logistics, financial and banking services, IT and telecommunications.

Support programmes for investors
The city has prepared a package of fiscal incentives available to investors. It includes negotiable options to be discussed in order to achieve the best solution for both parities. They can include:
- temporary exemption form property tax (up to 5 years),
- an additional fiscal package for investors located in the Płock Industry and Technology Park in Poland,
- infrastructure investment, including roads,
- services in co-operation with government institutions, relating to the labour market: assistance in staff training, assistance in the organisation of subsidised employment.
Intellectual support
Płock is a city of knowledge, with four prestigious schools of further education – Warsaw University of Technology – The School of Economic and Social Sciences offers technical education with specialisation in construction, mechanics, machinery construction, environmental engineering and chemical technologies. Specialists in economics, management and marketing are taught in the private, Paweł Włodkowic Memorial College. The State Vocational College trains future teachers, IT specialists and English and German languages. There are also supplementary MA studies at branches of Warsaw University in Płock.
Training support
Investors can also take advantage of services offered by institutions managing specialised training and courses, for example the Education Centre of the ORLEN Group. All the above the mentioned institutions offer training in management, finance, marketing, Law, IT, as well as specialised technical, organisational and language training.
Financial support
The Credit Warranty Fund in Płock enables SMEs to procure credit and bank loans. The objective of the Fund is to stimulate economic development by supporting SMEs in Płock. This objective is carried out by granting warranty repayment of credit and bank loans to companies.
