There are nearly 8,500 business entities registered in the city. A well-developed system of secondary school and university education with State Vocational College, Business College and Daily Studies Branch of Poznań University of Technology provides excellent opportunities for prospective candidates entering the local job market.
The commune has vast resources, including attractive land plots (approx. 50 hectares) for the development of production plants, service facilities and residential estates, situated in easily accessible areas, also in the vicinity of the ring roads being built. Most land plots have full utilities and media access.
The preferred designation of land plots available for development is production which is not harmful to the environment, in particular in the following industries: electronics, electrical engineering, printing, farming and food processing, services and tourism.
Entrepreneurs who offer new jobs are entitled to preferential treatment in the local tax system. Real estate tax breaks and other incentives are offered to business entities launching their activity in the region. The effectiveness of local policies is reflected in national ranking lists of regions attractive for investors where Piła has occupied one of the leading positions for many years.
