Nowogrodziec
Nowogrodziec is a town worth investing in, due to its convenient geographical location near the borders with Germany and the Czech Republic. The municipality is intersected by several important transport routes, including national road No. 4 and the railway lines connecting Wrocław with the western border of Poland and the north-south line connecting Szczecin and Jelenia Góra. The neighbouring municipality of Węgliniec contains one of the largest Polish State Railways marshalling yards in the whole of Poland.
Construction of the A4 motorway is planned in the near future. A motorway junction will be constructed in nearby Godzieszów.
In 1998, the commune bought 300 hectares of land in Wykroty, in the vicinity of national road No. 4, from the Agricultural Property Agency. 100 hectares of the above area was annexed to Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone for Medium Business S.A. (Specjalna Strefa Ekonomiczna Małej Przedsiębiorczości SA) which constitutes the so called Nowogrodziec Subzone. Today, it hosts enterprises such as: ZIOŁOPEX (dried fruit and spices), CERRYS (construction materials), CM3 (specialist containers for transporting car parts and subassemblies), BDN (printing house owned by BAUER Publishing Group), Palgetrans Transport - Handel (wood products, pallets). The following businesses are preparing for launching operations in the zone: HMS Polska (magnetic card machines), WEBER HYDRAULIKA (plumbing and metal fittings), LOVINK Polska (cast iron and metal parts), WYKROTY PROPERTIES (service and hotel centre).
The remaining 200 hectares is put on offer by the local authorities as part of the NOWOGRODZIEC BUSINESS PARK project.
