Będzin
Będzin is situated in the east of Śląskie Voivodeship (Upper Silesia) at the junction of major roads and railway routes near an international airport. It serves as the economic, educational, financial and administrative centre for seven neighbouring communes. It is the seat of district authorities.
Będzin, a town of monuments, is at the same time an important centre for the power industry, trade, and market services. Its attractive location, developed urban infrastructure, economic potential and absorbent market are of special significance to prospective investors. In anticipation of investment from the outside, assorted buildings and areas of land have been prepared for various kinds of economic activity.
Further development of the town requires rebuilding its centre and utilizing its post-industrial areas. The terrain, combined with the pro-ecological activities of Będzin-based businesses, offers good conditions for creating a sports and tourist base for the Katowice Conurbation. Accordingly, the most desirable business ventures in the town are projects that will provide more tourist facilities: hotels, restaurants, and a sports centre.
